I'm Derek. I didn't set out to be a photographer. In fact, I was working an hourly job that was paying my bills, but not feeding my passion. I've always enjoyed helping others, and when I began shooting photography, I realized that I got to bring joy and happiness to others through my work. Finally, I was able to find something meaningful.

Although I primarily shoot in Minnesota, I've been able to do work in Missouri, Wisconsin, and several other cities along the way.

 

I never expected to be on the road that I'm currently on, but life has a funny way of just happening. I fell in love with photography because of all the places is has taken me, all the stories I've gotten to tell with my photos, and all the amazing people that I've gotten to meet along the way. I'm so grateful that this is the career that found me.
